Sam Tromp is a Dutch artist based in London. With a deep interest in systems, structures, human behaviour and socio-political surroundings, he creates temporal moments that live on the peripheral. Approaching his work as a semi-fictionalization of reality, often working with the specific context of a site to stay close to the actuality, embracing the poetics and jocularity of life.
Through actions, performative installations and context related sculptural happenings he explores the relationship between the structures of our built environment and society.
Sam Tromp is currently enrolled at the Royal Academy Schools a three-year postgraduate program in London.
